I’m not complaining, but the Japanese do seem to enjoy American culture a lot. Is there a sociological or historical reason for this?
Culture: Sports (especially baseball), arts, entertainment, food.
American Major League Baseball is playing in Japan now. Japanese consider it the highest honor if their players play in the US. I’m not being US-centric. Just wondering some simple impressions.

well, why do americans find japanese culture so fascinating? I think both sides do plenty of enjoying. It is called human nature. We all want something that is JUST out of our reach. Asian women (not all) want to look more western and western women wish they were a size 2.. thats just life.
To make a long story short, Japanese are deeply attracted by multi-racial, melting-pot culture which is totally opposite from our homogeneous one.
